RockXP is great for retrieving lost activation keys and passwords in WindowsXP. This utility can save you hours of phone calls to Microsoft in resolving a lost product activation key for a reinstallation of WindowsXP. RockXP also comes with a nice password generator and will even help with recovering lost MSN Messenger passwords. The RockXP website warns that their use of third party opensource code in the utility may trigger some Anti-Virus products to alert. I have used RockXP countless times to recover lost product keys and can say the software is safe to use and free of any malware, as with all the software on dixlinx =)
